First of all, using a javascript window launcher without the ability for a u
ser
to manually click the link is dangerous -- I am using Opera which has a
built-in pop-up blocker, so all I got was a white screen, I had to look at t
he
source to see where it's going. The sketch effect is nice, but it's very slo
w
(at least on my system, 650MHz, 256MB RAM). Also, the menu moving after the
mouse cursor seems to pause the loading, and the moving menu sometimes takes
too long to stop (probably caused by the easing). Also, the menu y-position
doesn't always lock on a pixel, which causes the text and shapes to blur --
a
simple rounding function should solve this. As a last remark, to enhance the
contrast between the pictures and the menu, it might be an idea to make the
green as shown in the loader bar come back in the menu, maybe as a rectangle
around the grouped button or something.
But I like the pictures :)
