800+k site? Okay?

Wanted to know if that file is too big for 56k users? my site is
http://www.pizzapalace.cjb.net and I did it in flash, nothing too fancy but

liked it a lot better than the HTML site I had befor.. thanks for any replys

800+ is definitely too large for dialup. Think about splitting into chunks
of max 50Kb using loadMovie() if you're serious about targetting dialup
users.

IMHO there's a lot of room for optimization on your site. Even for broadband
,
the site doesn't have a lot to offer for its size. You might want to conside
r
generating smaller thumbnails (in Photoshop or whatever) for the photos, and
only load the larger ones when clicked. The same goes for the maps. Also, I
wouldn't put music on a site like this, it's more likely to annoy users than
 it
is to amuse them, and it's a great size-reducer as well.
Considering the small amount of actual textual content, the site is way too
big.
