My website shouws (the bottom navigation list ) more links than there are - 
it repeats some of the page entries.
Can you tell me how to correct?

Thank you for your response, I have found your site very informative. Your a
nswer did not correct the problem. As far as I can tell, Publisher does not 
truly re-organize pages when you use the "copy page contents" option to crea
te a new page.
I did what you suggested, and some of the links simply dissapeared, other re
mains subbornly the same.
Apparently when you delete pages, Publisher never clears the table contents.
When I take a look at the html code, there are multiple copies of each page'
s info. and it is too convoluted to bother trying to change all the necessar
y instances.

This file is in pretty bad shape. The best course of action and the quickest
is to start with a new blank file. I think you got to this point for 2
reasons, 1- incorrect use of the nav bar wizard, it is not very robust. You
need to use the web page options to set the title and include the page in
the nav bar. Also it appears you resized the bottom bar, I recommend you
leave it alone. Again it's not very robust, you do something slightly off
what it's designed for and you're hosed. 2- use of the master page. the
master page is a print publication feature not supported in a web
publication. using it in a web pub can have unpredictable results.
Use the copy all objects on the page to reuse page design elements, in other
words create the first page with the design elements and then when inserting
a new page use the copy objects option. Optionally you can group and lock
objects and copy/paste to the new page.
Open up 2 sessions of publisher side by side, old file and new blank file.
Create a new file, copy/paste design objects from old (master page) to new
first page, create additional pages and use add to nav bar option, set
titles. Then go thru and copy/paste your content objects from old to new.
DO NOT copy over your old nav bars.
