Have you checked out the Viewsonics? I have a G810 and love it ($439 shippe

Newegg). It has a slightly finer dot pitch than the Sony, but it doesn't ha

flat screen. For that, either the G220F or P225F would be a good choice.

Philips also makes some good ones. I've a 201B and it's great. -- JC

Personally I think Sony is overpriced. If you like the display, then I'd look for their tube (the Trinitron, which is a good one as long as the 2 or 3 horizontal wires don't bother you) in the monitor of a different brand. A number of brands use the Trinitron tube in several of their models.

I've been following all three of these monitor threads for a few weeks and have a Q about the Viewsonic models. I'm looking at the P90f and the P95f+, but I don't know the difference in them. There seems to be a difference in the CRTs, but I don't know what that difference is. Can someone shed some light on this subject? Thanks.... Gary -- Replace x in adr with c

Viewsonic's website lets you compare any of their monitors within a series. http://www.viewsonic.com/products/p...y_crt_product_f amily=4 Check the ones you want to compare and hit "compare" at the top of the chart . On those two, it looks like there's a difference in optimal resolution, colo r of the housing and one has the "ultrabright" feature. laurak@madmousergraphics.com http://www.madmousergraphics.com web design, print design, photography
