I have created a website using Publisher, which is up and
running.  I want to add a link to a MS Word document so
that people can download from the website.  Can anyone
give me any advice.  I have tried everything and can't
get it to work.

David has material on this on his website, but quite simply, just upload the
 M$
Word document and create a link to it.  It will normally be a viewable page.
Look at the M$ Word documents on this menu page as an example:
http://www.logwell.com/tech/app_notes/index.html
You will note there are both MS Word and .pdf docs listed there.
