great. that's enough to get me started. one more small question.

the website I referred to uses three swf files for the three pane
effect. When I view these swf files separately, they fill up the
browser screen, and yet stay within the three panes on the annamod.com
website. I can't figure this out. How would the plugin know to reduce
the size of the photos/animation to the size of the table element?

The base page puts these swf files inside a simple html table, so is
the default for flash to have the image fill the element it is
embedded within? Or do I need to specify this somewhere in my flash
program?

when u view swf file in browser, the dimension will be in % tht is y it fill
s
the browser.
just make an html/ htm file and put ur swf in table. it will work fine. it
will take the actual width of ur swf.
in html we r specifying the width and height so swf won't enlarge.

u can do this easiily in dreamweaver.

not real familiar with dreamweaver... even though I use it.
I guess it depends on what you want the html to look like and what you want
the html to do.
I make the flash file then insert > media > flash in DW at the place I
want the movie...
but I always wind up tweaking the code by hand, to center the movie or
whatever.

it's kind of a preference thing. The html pages made in flash, from what I
can tell so far is very limited.

you need to study up on your own...
this stuff your asking about is really basic

an hour in any book and you could answer this yourself.

You are really asking purely HTML questions on a Flash forum so I guess that
is why no one is answering you.
Read a book on HTML... ya know...

<a href="YOURPDF.pdf">click here to see .pdf </a>

that is basic, basic basic.... BASIC!! HTML

lol...

my advice is do some reading on your own...
you'll figure it out pretty quick.

Eldon

P.S. what happened to pan and fade photos?? The Flash question?

Pan = Mask
Fade = Alpha

that's your answer now you figure out what it means...
read the manuals
