It's difficult, and will take a lot of practice. Basically you want to mask
out the part that is not faded, using an approriate amount of feather on the
mask. Getting the feathering and mask shape right are two of the difficult
things. Then adjust the contrast, brightness, gamma, saturation, and color
balance in the center portion. Those are the other difficult things. Good
