Greetings

So far as I can see it's possible to set MySQL to listen on /ONE/ or /ALL/
IP-Addresses.

Anyone know if (and how) MySQL can be configured to listen on a particular
set of addresses?

Not answering your question of course, but would it be an option to have it
accept all connections, but only allow particular ones through the
firewall?

It's the bind-address=IP option. Google for more.

Doesn't that just allow for "one or all" IP addresses (by specifying an IP
or commenting out the line) as Mr T indicated?

Thanks for the thought, but that is the current arrangement.

Hoping for additional tightening of availability /inside/ the firewall.

I was trying to work this out the other day myself and you are correct,
it can currently only be configured to listen on one or all.

At the present time it can't. From the searching I was doing the other
day it appears to be something that may be implemented in the future.
