How to mix color and black&white ?

Hello to ezverybody,

With paint sho pro 8

I have a black & withe image and I want to insert  inside colored images ,
but i cant. ( the colored images change automatically in black & white)

True black and white is only 2 colours greyscale is 256 and full colour is
16 mil or 8 bits per channel.

Go to Image > increase colour depth > to 16 million colours 24 bit and then
you can add colour as a layer or colour part of the Black and white image

When I click on "increase color depth", all the options are disable (in
grey) ; do u know why ?

That would mean that the open image is all ready 16 Million colours Is it
the same  B&W one that you where using before?
