Changing link fonts in certain parts of page?

Hi, I am using a template page with my website, My default colour for all li
nks
is blue, but then I have a blue menu table, I want the text in this menu to 
be
white but as soon as I make the text links they turn blue. Any way of gettin
g
round this?
