Hi People

clearly I'm either not asking the correct questions or I'm asking them in
the wrong place. It's not that I'm impatient it's just that I'm used to fast
replies.

Question, where can I find information or tutorials on setting up a testing
server remotely on W2003 server

thanks

Ian

A google search using this "setting up a testing server on Windows
Server 2003" might give you the answer you're looking for.

Do you want to use a REMOTE host as a testing server?
What is the connection? FTP?
Simply enter the information into the Testing server part of this Site
Definition.

If anything in particular is not working- What is it, what do you have
entered, and what if any error messages come up?

note- the "URL PREFIX" line is to put the url address needed to get to the
root level of this site. Such as http://www.example.com/ or
http://www.example.com/mysite/

Hi

Access is via ftp

I have:-

server model php/mysql
access ftp
ftphost ftp.itpltd.co.uk
host directory /htdocs/
login itpltd
password *****

URl Prefix http://www.itpltd.co.uk

Ok when I press test it tells me it has connected sucessfully

However when I select databases and right click followed by test connection
I get what appears to be a generic
there is no testing server running on the server machine
the testing server specifies for this site does not map to the
http://www.itpltd.co.uk/_mmserverScripts/MMHTTPdb.php URL
Verify that the url maps to the root of the site.

Any help would be great as this is driving me mad clearly the problem is
path orientated

thanks

Ian
