tells me. I dont know what script to get and where to obtain it from. Can
anyone please help

I have tried this, but they do not offer any. I have also tried to configure
the scripts from the sites listed above using the readme texts but i cannot 
get
them to work. I am not filling them in correctly and dont know how to correc
t
this. Can anyone help me. All i want is to create a simple newsletter detail
s
form. I did not realise that the script configuration is this complicated.

what ever you get from bignose and matts are as simple as they come really,
why not create what you want to do in asp or php, ask your isp do they
support either of.

cgi/perl is kinda hard to use, what your trying to do is not easy either ,
if it was none of us would have a job.

what errors or what are the problems you are getting with the cgi scripts
your using, you say your filling them in correctly so what are you getting
when you try and view it in a bowser.

If your host does not *support* CGI, that may be the
end of the story. You may need to get a host that does.

Hello Lukey,

Getting my first form to work was a bugger. I used a CGI script for a
while, I think it was called formmail.pl. However, a scripting language
like PHP is much, much easier to work with.

If you are able to use PHP with your hosting account, I build a
down-and-dirty form builder you can use to create virtually any kind of
form easily. It's built to e-mail a formatted e-mail to you, but you
can adjust it to enter the newsletter subscriber info into a database.
