I recently upgraded from Studio MX to Studio 8. I am using the software on m
y
Powerbook G4 which is running Mac OSX 10.3. I manage my fonts with Extensis
Suitcase X1 version 11.0.4.0223. My Powerbook has plenty RAM and has until n
ow
not encountered any problems. The Studio 8 programs all open and run very
quickly apart from Flash 8 which not only opens very slowly but also sends
itself to the back and can only be brought to the front by selecting it in t
he
dock. Once the program is open it runs fine except that all of my fonts are
displayed as almost exactly the same. They all display as a sans font. I hav
e
tried re-installing and I have cleaned and re-cleaned the font files and got
rid of any corrupt fonts. I'm totally lost now all the fonts work fine in
Fireworks, Freehand and Dreamweaver but in Flash they are useless. PLEASE HE
LP
ASAP I have loads of work on and I'm in the middle of creating a portfolio s
ite
for a Job application.

Any help is much appreciated.

i don't know what this has to do with Flash Design site, but whatever.
first of all it sounds like the flash has a problem, and the only ones that
can help you with this are the guys from macromedia. if you bought studio
upgrade, it should be really easy to get support for it. try asking them, an
d
they will probably know the answer, or if not you will receive another copy
of
studio upgrade on which flash will work properly.
