Gradient & Printing CS

Hi all, am trying to print a card designed for class. I have one letter with
a gradient from white to black, that prints with a greenish tinge for the
gray area. I am printing to a Canon inkjet printer. I have changed my
gradients to print at 1200 dpi in IllyCS and am printing it in RGB mode.

A related question: when selecting to print from CS, Illy doesn't seem to
want the user to go into the printer settings, but one has to in order to
select the type of paper. I am also telling my printer to print at highest
dpi, but I am wondering if that is somehow conflicting with Illy's internal
print settings. Anyone care to enlighten me on this?

Thanks.

This is most likely from one of the color enhancing modes in the printer. They often do that sort of thing. Look for a printer-specific panel in the print dialog and try to turn it off.

I'm not sure what you mean by not wanting the user to go into the printer settings, but everything is now part of the print dialog. -- paul asente To reply, make the host be the same as my last name
