Problem posting to cnews.corel.com

Hi,

I can read and search in cnews.corel.com, especially
corel.PaintShopPro_older_versions. No problem so far.
But I can't post my questions to the group. Is there a
registration necessary?

Looks like posting runs well, but the article just
disappears in the 'Nirvana'.

I am using XNews as client SW.

Best

Hagen

No registration, no password are necessary. Several folks run XNews
there, so it is either your setup or perhaps your firewall or your
ISP are blocking NNTP. You could eliminate the latter by a test with
Outlook Express set up according to

Nice to hear.

FW and NNTP at ISP should be o.k. as I am able to post here?!?

Maybe I have finger trouble with my XNews as my posting in this NG is away
at my site (again) but your RE is shown and readable.

Thanks
Hagen

O.k. posting problem solved. It was me and my fingertrouble
with XNews. Already red postings were not diplayed again.

Due to this my posting is in cnews doubled now. Shame on me.
Sorry for that. So this problem was really OT.

Thanks for your patience,

Hagen

You ask the wrong man - as you can read in the thread I did some
mistakes today with XNews. Indeed I am not a power user but manage
to retrieve all I need in UN with XNews. It's free and some people say
it's good and it's not M$ ;) For me (german) XNews is in a foreign
language so you should have less problems to run into the easy to see
traps.

Don't know that one.

It is another Server, yes (Corel own). This is no problem at all in
XNews, you can setup as many servers as you want within seconds (even
me).

Best
Hagen

N.B. Thread is running OT. Email is working. Feel free to contact me for
