Can someone look at my site and tell me how to get the flash pres to show up
?
It works fine in IE. But in FF not so much...

Thanks! (and yes, you've seen this site before and my client is moving in
baby steps....)

The flash presentation shows up ok for me in Firefox 1.5. The only problem
I
notice is that you use a "wmode" attribute, that even I am unfamiliar with.
And because of this, Firefox seems to want to print that as text rather than
 to
treat it as code and after reading the usage of it on the Macromedia site ri
ght
now it seems to be necessary only when using transparencies with Flash files
,
not when you want the Flash file to act normally.

I'm using w mode as that came up because I needed the flash pres to show up
behind the drop down menus, not in front. When I made the bg transparent th
at
came up. I'm using firefox 1.0.7 which it (FF) just asked me to update to
today when I opened my browser. So you can see the flash? I just get a whi
te
box where the flash should be, and also the wmode text.

You have the wmode parameter in there for IE, but you do NOT have wmode
in the embed tag. Add, in your <embed> tag, the following:

wmode="transparent"

Try upgrading to Firefox 1.5. There may have been an update to the renderin
g
engine in the update from 1.0.7 to 1.5 that probably goes unnoticed to most
users until you come upon it. I will try using my Windows CPU later to see
if
I get the same result with the Windows Firefox 1.5, but I suspect it will be
.

Works ok for me in v1.0.7 - though I suspect you dont want the
"wmode=transparent" text to be visible!

Cancel that! The drop down menus are behind where the flash is - and
not readable.

You didn't do it right. Change this:

<embed src="rotpix.swf" quality="high"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="325" height="250">
wmode="transparent"
</embed>

To this:

<embed src="rotpix.swf" quality="high"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="325" height="250"
wmode="transparent">
</embed>

OK - that definitely removed the text wmode=transparent from appearing,
however, on my PC, using Firefox updated yesterday, I still only see a white
box, not the swf. Does anyone else with a PC see the swf? I've got a view
er
with a MAC and Safari seeing everything fine.
