The pople who write it today are a corporation who have nothing to do
with the original design.
The original aspect was simply technology. The birth of te opportunity
to have topic and people discuss, Of course these days nobody
understands any more that dicusions are not for archiving, They are
intimate interest-based after all, but I dont need to elevate pirate
ompanies who chose to go againt history and they abuse human nature,
and sponsor usenet messges with ads. So in the beginning, it was just
technology and opportunity for people on the usenet to reach out with
an interest, be it work or private reltated, and others answering. It
was discussion and private interest realted, and was used mostly by the
highest educted, just as computers were used by people with the highest
IQ at the time. A netiquette existed, it was brief and technological.
So in the beginning it was all a technological opportunity, and
cultural groups were born and people came and began exchanging messages
for fun about topics. And its still like that, but its very business
corrupt. We know the greatest enemy here is commercial soliciting. But
google offers its own environment, and they add sponor-paid links to
each page used when Google is used. That's all nice and fine, the
problem is that all usenet users who exchanged messages now have their
privacy abused. Some company is now commercially archiving their free
speech intimate discussions.
The basic claim of my thesis came into question: the private control of
public, and its fre speech. Now everything I post or discuss, becomes
sponsored commercially, therefore violating my human privacy.
Ceaucescuian street cameras, apply, with mass commercial corruption to
people's privacy. Yes, these are hangouts, the netiquette designed
usenet forums with subscription in mind, keeping people following the
events of discusion topics,
be it related to a profession or something intimate in interest. Now if
usenet messages are now solicited by private organizations - and
remember this place is private, subscription based and usenet is open
(unlike paid subscription dicusion forums belonging to companies like
stock exchange discussions). As open, this territory is public. And
recording and soliciting over public territories is like turning
streets and people into Formula One cars ith stickers in a Formula One
stadium. One thing that applies in business, is that if people are used
for commercial reaons, the people expect to be paid. Google offers no
payment for using people's intimate conduct online for their business.
As for their belief that they offer an incredible resource to the
public, its absolutely wrong. As slave traders cared only of thir money
and happy tobacco users, they ignored the core, the workers, the
slaves, in this case ordinary people around the world turning to the
Internet, and in case their new library project the writers.
