Hey,

I'm using Publisher to create a web page. It looks great in publisher, but
is distorted when viewed from a browser. It also looks different from
different computers. Suggestions??

Welcome to web design.
Post the URL of the page and the version of Publisher if you want to receive
suggestions.

Sorry,

The web page is: www2.msstate.edu/~aio1/Orrville. But it's spacing and
overall layout is not how I have it in Publisher.

Thanks,

Adam

I hope you do better on your tests there. I asked two questions and you
missed one. I am going to assume you are using version 2003.
Firstly when I look at your page I noticed you have what I believe is
probably from a code snippet on your page. If you have placed an html code
fragment on the page you want to be sure and size the fragment box to the
size of the rendered html. If you don't then you are laying out the page
based on false information and when rendered in html things will be skewed.

Hello again,

I'm using Office Professional Edition 2003. Again the web site is
www2.msstate.edu/~aio1/Orrville.htm.

I checked the size of the HTML code fragment and on my computer it fixed it,
but not when viewed from another computer. Also, the picture on the main
page is displaced on my computer but not when viewed from another. How do I
create a standardized webpage that is the same no matter what computer it is
viewed from?

Thanks for all your help.

Merry Christmas,

Adam

The short, and accurate, answer.... learn HTML and don't use Publisher.

If you want the long answer you'll find it through out this forum and our
web site http://www.publishermvps.com
