Slide shows and music

Hello

I have a collection of slides from which I would like to make a slide show
with music. Ideally, I would like to be able to cue the transitions from one
slide to the next to specific points in the music.

I would also like to be able to produce a stand-alone exe file of the show
that I could burn to CD and distribute.

Any suggestions for a good software package that will do this?

There are several programs you can use. If you're running WinXP, then you
can use (free) Movie Maker 2, or MS's Plus Digital add on pack (which has a
slide show generator). These two create a slide show in Windows Media
Player format.

Nero and Roxio include slide show creating software in their burning suites.
Ulead also makes a separate program to burn to DVD and CD.

I just went through this for a job. After looking at over 20 programs all of
which sucked for one reason or another (we need something that was fast,
easy, that would allow easy additions to the slide show and that generated a
standalone .exe of the slide show with still images, music and text) we went
with ACD Systems FotoAngelo. http://www.acdsystems.com

I should have replied to the group and not just a single person.

Many thanks for the advice. I will try the ACD Systems program.
