I saved some files as jpf on a friends machine. The are Jpeg2000 as touted
by Adobe. I am running CS which I thought the lousy so and sos would have
had Jpeg2000 as part of but it seems you have to buy even more software.
Am I wrong or are they bloodsucking leeches?

You're wrong. The plugin is in the "Goodies" folder on your CD, as the help files clearly state. You *do* have a CD, right? Or are you a bloodsucking leech?

It's on the CD as an optional plugin.
Please read the README file that comes with the plugin.
