What goes in the MySql server box??????
What goes in that box?
I'm just learning Dreamweaver, and don't know anything about PHP or MySql. I
don't know much about servers either, other than I don't have (or I'm not
using) a server on my own pc. I have an account with a web hosting company o
n
the internet. The server is fully capable of everything PHP and MySql.
I'm guessing images aren't allowed here? But I made a screenshot of my what
I'm talking about. It's here:

Use "localhost" without the quotes.

Thanks much for the reply.  I originally tried
localhost
after looking at the site you suggested - gareth's site, right?
But I got an error msg about (maybe) the testing server.  Something HTTP 404
related, (maybe) having to do with the url prefix not mapping to the root of
the site.  So now I'm back to the drawing board.

But I sincerely appreciate the reply.

Yes, I have found Gareth's site to be very helpful although I am not sure
why "localhost" didn't work for you.  Perhaps, the site definitions weren't
set up correctly.
