Patricia,
Thank you for the kind comment! Here are some Mother's Day poems I have
found that maybe you could use in the future. Where do you live?

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've
had a baby .
Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, "Normal," is history.
Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct ...
Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.
Somebody said being a mother is boring ......
Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.
Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out good."
Somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.
Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices .....
Somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a
golf ball through the neighbour's kitchen window.
Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother .
Somebody never helped a fourth grader with her math.
Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the first.
Somebody doesn't have five children.
Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing
questions in the books .
Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.
Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labour and delivery ....
Somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of
kindergarten or on a plane headed for military "boot camp."
Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied
behind her back .
somebody never organized four giggling Brownies to sell cookies.
Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married ...
Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a
mother's heartstrings.
Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home....
Somebody never had grandchildren.
Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her
.. Somebody isn't a mother.

What is a Mother?
A Mother has so many things to do,
>From washing, ironing, cleaning to tying a shoe.
She scrubs, she mends, she cooks and sews,
She bathes the children and washes their clothes.
When they forget to wash their faces clean,
And their clothes are the muddiest you've ever seen,
Who repairs the clothes and scrubs them like new?
Of course, that is what a Mother will do.
Who becomes the doctor or the nurse when they are ill,
Applying a bandage or giving them a pill?
Who becomes a teacher when a child has homework?
She must never her duty shirk.
Who becomes a detective to find a toy or a book?
For missing things she must look and look?
Who becomes a listner to every heartache,
To every accompolishment that a child makes?
Who scolds their children when they are naughty,
Or remind them of God when they are to haughty?
Who tends her family with love and patience, too?
Of course that is what a Mother will do.

What is a mother?
Someone to laugh with.
Someone to cuddle with.
A person to share your thoughts with.
A person to care for you.
Someone who loves you.
An awesome friend.
Someone to enjoy life with.
Someone to grab when you're scared.
Someone that you know will always be there.
That is a mother.

Wonderful Mother
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

A Mother's Love
There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

The Magic of a Mother's love
The magic of a mother's love
Brings harmony and bliss.
It covers like a blanket
And cures boo-boos with a kiss.
It offers grand protection
>From evil that lurks 'round,
It tames the fears of little ones
And turns frowns upside down.
It holds a wealth of wisdom
With gentleness it guides,
It holds the hand when needed
Then lets go with tears of pride.
And though those precious childhood years
In an instant pass,
The love and magic mom instills
Will last.and last.and last.
