I've been reading your comments, examples and suggestions,
and I believe I have reached some degree of nirvana...
or whatever...
I've removed tables, quirks, gadjits & widgetorts...
and managed to impliment some crude style and design... [;->

If you might, please, spend a moment to check visual, acessibility,
grammer, legibility, readability, spelling...
a quick peek at the code... a glance at the CSS...
(or whatever is your particular bag... jump on it)

no need to be gentle, hell, tell it like you see it,
I'm an old dog with thick hyde...

'Accessible' page: (1) The verses should all have a punctuation mark of some kind set at the relevant points to ensure that words don't run into one another. 'Amazing Grace' is fine; the other one isn't. (2) The headings don't make much sense. Especially something like: <h1 style="color: black">IT</h1> <h1 style="color: black">IS</h1> <h1 style="color: black">DONE!</h1> This is 3 separate <H1> headings. Think tree structure; think navigation. (3) It would be nice to have a Contents list at the beginning of the page so that I could decide what I want to listen to. (4) Bagpipe music for <a href="../sounds/amazing_grace4.mid" tabindex="10" accesskey="y">"Amazing Grace"</a> will generate a link of [Amazing Grace] which doesn't make sense out of context (e.g. in a List of Links). You could change it to <a href="../sounds/amazing_grace4.mid" tabindex="10" accesskey="y">"Bagpipe music for Amazing Grace"</a> So that the link reads [Bagpipe music for Amazing Grace] However, there's still no real indication that this cause a midi-file to be downloaded, so I suggest that this area needs some re-thinking as to the clearest way to present it. ....... just a few thoughts. regards. -- Jake

"Disabled" was not the keyword. I just cannot see any reason why one would download _Java_ if one's user agent does not implement _JavaScript_ or has it disabled. You could as well give the visitor a link to download Macromedia Flash. The OP confuses Java with JavaScript. Markus

Thank you Markus... suffering from confusion can be embarrasing, and I'd rather you advise me sooner than later.... anything else? -- Bagman ___ What is possible, is, what is not possible is not, and connot be. http://www.xprt.net/~servitum

You are right, thanks Farlo... If I can't figure out what to say, best say nothing, else I look like an idiot? ;-)
