Does anyone know of a keyboard shortcut to make the dimensions of a
selected object, in this case a placed jpg, automatically be entered
when clicking on the document with the rectangle tool selected. I always
end up selecting the object clicking on the transform tab and entering
the numbers in the dialog box manually.

If you need to scale a lot of imported jpgs to the same dimensions (if
that is what you want to do), an Action (using the Actions palette)
seems to be the best solution. With your imported graphic selected,
click the Create New Action button, do your resizing in the Transform
palette and click the Stop Recording button. Then Assign a keyboard
shortcut to your Action. Maybe you can even make Batch processing work
if you're in luck...
