Draw files?

Start up Illustrator and click File>Open then browse to the cdr file you wan
t.
Select it and Open it. You may get some dialog boxes. Just answer the
questions, if any and proceed.

doesnt work all the time.

files that i created in Corel on my new machine, yeah, this works.

however, older corel 8 files, wont open. for example, files on their
clip art CD wont open. Dialog box says file is in unrecognized format.

Ask them to convert them to EPS files

well the reason i'm asking is, I just downloaded and installed the XP
update, and now my old Corel 8 keeps crashing. I wondered if i could
simply open those old files in Illustrator.
