the title says it all really ! I have a large site and wish to change the
pages that are .htm to .asp and also update the links, I've toyed with find
and
replace but it doesn't have the file name options. Does anyone know of a wa
y
to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Do it in DW's File window.

Wouldn't it be easier to configure the server instead so that it treats
.htm-files as ASP? What if you want to change to .aspx or whatever some
day - rename all files again? What about existing incoming links? They
will break completely.

"Cool URIs don't change."

Just my 2 cents

Micha

Hi Murray,
Thanks for the response, any more clues? I'm looking in the file window and
cannot seem to find anything relating to this?

Select a file and rename it. Let DW handle the links.

I actually have a large'ish site of 100+ .htm files I want to change to .asp
,
using a batch process and check/update links, without doing it manually, one
 by
one which is what I think you mean by using the file rename.

100+ is not too bad to do manually. Personally, it's the only way I would
trust.
