If it is just password protecting a portion of the site w/ a single user id
/ password for all users
See http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;825451
Your host will have to support subwebs and unique permissions under the FP S
erver Extensions

| I have site that I'm building for a customer that has seven main pages.
| He want's to have the last page accessible only if the surfer logs in.
| I've seen a lot of refrences to ASP pages but nothing on how to do this
| with a UNIX server that is running FP extensions.
|
| Does anyone have info on this? I would greatly appreciate it.
|
| Thanx, Dave.

Does the hosting account come with the web masters CPanel??

If so place the page in it's own folder, publish and then open CPanel and us
e the Web Protect
feature to password protect the folder.

since you're on a UNIX server you can use the "user registration web", oddly
enough won't work on a windows machine.

should be in your web templates.
