| This week on The Ledge:
The American writer Edward P. Jones, on a recent trip to Amsterdam, spoke
with Stacey Knecht about his prizewinning novel The Known World. Read the
interview, listen to Jones reading aloud from the novel, and then -
definitely - read the book.
The Ledge invites readers to contribute comments, ideas for new 'before' and
'after' books - which books have influenced this particular book/ writer and
what should the reader read next? - and corrections.
Have a look around the site and fill in your comments in The Ledge Files
(HTML) or on the startpage. All suggestions are reviewed by the editors and,
wherever possible, added to the site. If you'd like to know whether your
suggestion has been accepted, please send an email, with your name as
'Subject', to editor@the-ledge.com.
You can also post 'literary news' on the startpage. We're looking for
information about international events, new books, relevant websites... in
English, please. Your message won't appear automatically, it has to first go
past the (eagerly awaiting) news editor.
Many thanks!
