Author Leave "as is" code?

Hi, good morning:

There is a bit of html that you use when you want a block of text to
appear "as is" on a page; in other words you don't have to put <br> at
the end of every line...for example if you want to show a block of
header material.

I have forgotten what this is and don't see it in html tutorials,
though I've used it in the past.

Anybody remember?

Thanks in advance.

You might find the answer in the alt.hacking group Connie.

No. Any programmer will be quick to tell you that html is not
programming. Duh.

No one here said it was.
I posted so that you would be aware, that others were aware of your
hacking exploration.

Duh.

No; you did it to harass me. You haven't got anything else to do,
apparently.
