| I have a few MIC files that seem corrupted in that they can't be open or
read by Image Composer; but a thumbnail preview is available for them in
Image Composer (a new thumbnail, not from before it was corrupted). I'm
wondering if there's a way to salvage these files.
thanks,
Brian Shapiro

How do you mean "a thumbnail preview is available for them in Image
Composer"?
MIC does not have thumbnails.

| It does have a thumbnail image.
The file is saved in a standard OLE structured storage format so you may
browse its contents with a program capable of viewing that kind of files.
Using the viewer found at http://www.coco.co.uk/developers/CFX.html
select an Image from the listing
then click the right button and select Save to file...
Open the file with IrfanView (wich will autodetect the file type)
It worked for me!

| Ah, I see what you mean. In the File > Open dialog one can see MIC
images thumbnailed when in "Thumbnail" view.
Never noticed that before!
