Color Tuning/Alternatives to MIC

| I've recently been having the same problem as the poster
Phil with Color Tuning in Image Composer, on multiple
computers. When I open the color tuning window it freezes
mostly, or in rarer cases works extremeley slow. Can
anything be done to fix this?
If not, is there a comparable product to Image Composer
put out by Microsoft or another software company? I also
have PhotoShop, but I always liked Image Composer because
of its simplicity, small-size, and focus on sprite-
editing. Resizing and applying effects to images and fonts
is simple, and I can import vector graphics so that as
sprites they have transparent backgrounds--I mainly use it
for website design. Is there anything comparable out? Why
did Microsoft drop this product, and then PhotoDraw (which
I found less simple though)?

| Are you running 1.0?
I had the same problem re: color tuning until I bought a newer copy of Front
Page from CDW to get IC 1.5. Still runs slow but I don't think it's frozen
since the upgrade. I'm also running it on a fairly limited machine compared
to what's out there, so I'm not too critical of the spped issue.

| No, I'm using version 1.5, on two computers. And I've tried
reinstalling it, and also trying to use different versions
of the install (trials, downloads rather than my cd). Its
very strange, since it worked fine once.

| I am also using 1.5 but haven't tried other install
versions. In the meantime, I'm using an even more basic
program to do my color-tuning. Unfortunately I'm at work
or I could give you the name...it's basic photo-editing sw
that came bundled with my Dell. When I get home, I'll post
it's name. Thanks,
Phillquote:
