Author Image Composer alternatives

What would be a more modern program to replace Image Composer 1.5 given my
system requirements?

SYSTEM: Windows Me, IE 5.5, 384MB SDRAM PC100/133, DFI PA61 PII Mainboard,
Katmai 550MHz Pentium III CPU, Dial-up & DSL Modems. Ethernet Network
connected to Win95a, Win98SE, and WinMe machines.

You could try the GIMP (freeware)... www.gimp.org ....

tho' it may take you a bit of reading instructions and playing arround to
learn what it can do.
but once you do it is a powerfull program.

But, I dont think you should remove or replace IC1.5, have both installed.

Consider Real-Draw Pro at www.mediachance.com. It's about $50 and very
intuitive. It is much like PhotoDraw. I recommend it.
