Is there a way to make lines with arrow heads in MIC? I tried the help file
but found nothing under "drawing lines" "arrows" etc. Can this be done on a
jpg picture in composer?
Thanks

Stick a triangle on the end of a line, or use a clip art arrow.

Go to - Insert > Object >Microsoft Word Picture
In Word, go to the Drawing toolbar and select Lines or Block Arrows
Draw your arrow, close the picture and it'll be inserted into MIC

I've been using IC for several years but never thought to import graphic objects from Word. Now trying this per your instructions, but it only works about 1 time out of 10. I can't see any pattern to when it works and when it doesn't. Any ideas?

Phil:

What problems are you having? When you close Word the object should be in
IC. If you are using Word Art just hit Enter.

When Word is loaded, I create an object and then close it. It returns to IC but no image appears. Totally empty space. About 1 time in 10, the object actually appears. Possibly there is an OLE conflict between IC, which was bundled with FP2000, and Office
2003.

Not a big deal. I find if I copy the drawing to the clipboard in Word, I can then paste special in IC (a much bigger image appears). But it is not an object. Just a sprite.

Good enough for my needs.

Works every time for me (MIC 1.5, Win XP pro, Office 2003), and my
system is heavily patched and naughty with mods and registry hacks. MIC
and Word have always happily copulated and produced graphic offspring -
incestuous, since they come from the same family, but never mind...
