Q1) Is this version compatible with WINDOWS XP Home Edition? I just
installed MS Frontpage 2000 Disc 2 ... and there appeared this program.

Q2) Where would be the best place to get an overview of it's capability?

"The Official Microsoft Image Composer Book" from Microsoft is good. It
comes with a CD. Although it is old, IC15 is a sophisticated program with a
lot of capabilities.

Even if you don't like the pgm itself, the clipart is unusual and excellent
and the Impressionist plug-in is powerful and compatible with
Photoshop-style programs.

I haven't heard any complaints about it not working on XP.

My oh my!!

It's been years since I've been back to visit. But it's good to see that the
torch continues to burn for Image Composer and all of its children. I've
been watching MS closely, and they've continued to develop and build upon
the engine that the original programmers developed.

Keep up the good work, guys! And keep up the creativity. I'm glad to know
that my site continues to be of use here.
