Hi,
Does anyone know how to achieve a consistant normal
brightness when viwing an image created on one platform
(i.e. XP)on another platform (win 98)? For example.

1. When I create a slide show of jpeg images at normal
brightness on my XP machine then view them (via floppy or
CD) on my win 98 machine, the pictures are very dark. This
doesn't matter which program I use to create the image or
view them with. I have the same problem exporting edited
video to tape for example.

2. The same problem occurs when I try to print an image
that looks quite normal on my screen, in this case it
prints too light. In order to get the printed image
looking normally, I have to darken the screen image a great
deal such that details are lost.

There must be a way to set consistent image brightness and
contrast in either XP or Win 98 so that they look the same
on any platform. How is it done? Does anyone know.
