Author XForms - Can I help?

Hello--

I'm a web programmer and I'm super interested in seeing XForms take off
in FireFox. I've read the "How Can I Help" section over on
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/xforms/ but I'm not sure where to get
started. I haven't been involved in a Mozilla project yet and though
I've done some C++, I do more in PHP/Java/.NET. If I wanted to
contribute test XForms documents or maybe some basic PHP/JSP/ASP.NET
programs (samples/tests), is there a good place to do that?

I think XForms support--especially if it gets into the main release of
FireFox--would have huge potential for winning over web programmers who
are sick of writing all the extra plumbing needed for validation and
converting flat form data into structured data...I'm looking forward to
the day when one or two XML Schema files actually define the data on
the client layer, in the business logic layer, and in the storage layer
of the typical web application. Allan, Morten, Olli, Aaron, Brian, and
others...thanks!

We do not have a good repository for that... yet :) But it would be really
nice if you could kick the code around from the UI-side. I've recently
updated the project page with an up-to-date status:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/xforms/status.html
And validating that and finding bugs would be a great help. Some nice samples
would also be good.

The easiest way to get started is through IRC. Depending on the timezone
you're in, log in to #xforms in irc.mozilla.org and get hold of one of us. We
have it "manned" most of the time in the CET and "US" timezones.

A good set of testcases that go beyond the spec and more into how XForms
will be used in the real world would be great! Any help that we can get
is always appreciated.

On IRC look for smaug, doron, beaufour or Cartman on #xforms if you need
any help/ideas.
