Author floating point SOAPParameter encoding problem

I have just filed
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282245>
about problems in Mozilla 1.8 nightlies where JavaScript floating point
number values like 2.5 are encoded in a SOAP message as 2,500000 instead
of 2.500000, at least for me here on a German edition of Windows XP.
Could anyone here check the test case
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=174308>
and report here or in the bug whether the problem exists on other
platforms or other editions of Windows too?
Thanks.
