I've created a series of movies embedded in HTML files for viewing via Window
Media Centre. In one section a series of topics are listed on screen each in
turn, during which the user can register an interest by pressing the OK button
on the remote control. Feedback is given to the viewer by increasing the size
of the topic title text on screen.

This works fine when I use keycode38 (up arrow) but when I switch to 13 which
is the ok button or return on a keyboard then nothing happens. I've run a key
trace on the WMC and it's picking up the button fine so it's definitely down to
Flash.

Is this button locked down by default? Is there anyway I could unlock it with
some script at the beginning of the movie?

If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated.

I used to have headaches with binary data in GWBASIC that for some reason was
always trying to convert carriage returns to linefeeds or whatever. I don't
know what Flash does specifically but "return" can still be a headache
especially when trying to outguess something that will work on both Mac and PC.
I would try looking at 0A, 0B, and 0D (hex) to see if any of those will sense
your return keypress.
