Macromedia Flash - scrolling dynamic text fields

I'm a relatively new Flash designer. I know how to deal with dynamic
text and how to make scroll functions for objects in general (also
dealing with masking etc.). I just can´t figure out how to make a
dynamic textfield scroll by using self designed scroll buttons. I
don't know the size of the textfield since it changes regarding to
what is going to be put into it in the future.

I solved the problem with the factory installed components in MX but
am not happy about the looks.

Any ideas...
