| I am considering using Flash (or another Macromedia product) to run the user interface for a standalone booth with a smartcard log-in interface. Is it possible to access smartcards from Flash, either directly or via a local mediating daemon? I presume t
hat it is possible for Flash to poll a server using HTTP, for instance. Would it be possible for that server to be local to the client, or are there Java applet style security restrictions that would get in my way? Alternatively, is there a native-call
interface that I could use so that I could access the smartcard directly?
I would prefer for this to run on Linux, but would not be too disappointed if I had to use Windows.
