as you did not say what shape i cant be sure but did the bounding box of
the shape tuch the side of the image window

My script does the n-sided symmetric polygons. You get prompted for n.

Yes but when you where dragging it out if the bounding box touched any of
the sides it would spring back to a size just inside the image space on that
side.
