You have managed the first step of Spandex's instruction: to make
the Scripting newsgroup work in Outlook Express. Now you can get to
work on the second step and find the thread which deals with Ron's
script. Here's a hint: it started on last October 12. Try the Help
in OE on "finding messages."

Fred, I don't want to start an argument but you sound like your playing
games with this guy.
Why not just upload the script. As the script belongs to RonV and not me I
asked for permission from RonV to upload it. (Haven't heard back yet)
Why play games, after all he asked nicely?

Thanks.

I found it, downloaded it and will now try to install it.

I'm using this news group in Mozilla Thunderbird.

Okay I unzipped to a new folder called C:\csc then moved all 7 files or so to unrestricted files in
my documents where PSP files are located.
opened PSPxi went to scripts, open, and nothing was there in restricted.
so went to unrestricted saw files and nothing opened.
so I moved all files to restricted and got a message saying something about moving files to
unrestricted.

so I did and still nothing opens.

Can you say help?

Actually, there is a very good reason, not a game. I am quite happy
to help people learn how to use their software, but am not willing
to go find what they are looking for and hand it to them. As the
parable goes, teach a man to fish...

You don't move all 7 files only the pspscript file to the PSP script
directory.

David

Okay. I moved 7 files back to C:\csc,
went back to PSPxi
opened scripts
Ran script.
And guess what.

It works. I filled out form and was able to print thumbnails.

very good. I had been using FastStone.

Now one more questions

Can I move C:\csc to my a new folder I'll set up in MyDocuments?

And why in XP explorer do some files created with PSP12 appear with splotches of black and in PSPxi
they look fine.

I removed my PSP7 yesterday.

And thanks for helping me with this.

No. As far as I know it is 'hard wired' into the script.=20

What is this PSP12 - there is no such thing: PSPXl is the latest
version.

David,

This script is not going to work for me. I have these PSPxi images 45 x 45 pixels in diameter or
square and I'd like to get at least 40 per page. using Faststone I can do 10 across and 6 down on a
4 x 6 print. I print them at Kinkos using a sony photo set up they have.

It looks as if RonV script goes from one to next image in folder where photos are stored. I'd have
to make 40 copies of each image or 20 of one, 5 of another and so one.

I will continue to use and purchase this trial version of PSPxi however there does not appear to be
a way to take images and put them on a flash drive and transport them to another printer as can be
done with faststone.

You've lost me here. Copying/Moving images to a flash drive can be done
easily in PSP using the browser (using the folders option).
Highlight the images you want to copy in the right hand pane and drag to
the drive/directory in the left hand pane

Sorry to have lost you.

Yes I can copy or move images to flash drive however. I can line up images 60 to a 4 x 6 photo
print I pay for one print and get 60 images using FastStone.
I tried, thanks to you helping me find RonV script, However I could not find a way to copy or
transfer individual or multiples of same image to contact script. It works fine for thumbnails but
not for mulitples as with faststone.

Another question. thumbnails using my XP explorer of files with PSPxi images appearing half blacken.

Attached is normal when opened in PSPxi not so in XP explorer.

The attached image has a white background on the left hand side and a
black background on the right hand side. How does this differ in
Explorer? Can you post an image from Explorer?

Whether Ii open the attached image in PSP, Windows Explorer, Internet
Explorer or IrfanView I see the same thing.

I would have expected black or white Background but then I dont use Vista.
Explorer can not display transparency so it showes a background in this case
black and white. Nothing to worry about.

I remember starting with a transparent raster then copying an image then doing some text above and
on top of concave circle and saving.
reason I started with raster was starting with vector I was not able to flip image to allow printing
on top and just under image like you might see on a coin.

and no I am not making coins.

Remember that all images are square or rectangular When you make it into a
circle the remainder, the corners, has to be filled in some way. Ok In psp a
checked background for transparency but other formats will set it as the
background colour. I would fill it in with white which when printed on white
paper means no ink
