| In case any of you are XXCopy v 2.93.1 fanataics as I am, and you've
recently received an error message about (my phrasing, not literal) it not
being approved for use in your operating environment, it's caused by one the
latest updates to at least XP Pro and Home, and Win 2000 Server flavors.
I think it's the update that moved some dll's to a different location in
memory, not sure; came out this week yesterday.
To get rid of the error, and having to "press any key" to get each xxcopy
command to work in your batches, etc., download the Beta version 2.95.x (I
forget whether x is 1 or 2 right now; sorry). It's at www.xxcopy.com\beta\
in case you can't find it.
No idea who's fault it is; MS or xxcopy authors. At any rate, it's dumb!
Anyway, I downloaded 2.95.x and all is fine now. I use it to do incremental
backups. I Still use Ghost for full backups; never figured out whether
xxcopy can use shadow copy.
