Thanks Suz - works great! I think the problem I had when I tried the
code in the Scripting for Authors pdf was that I hadn't commented out the
required lines in the Fill part of the code.
The only change I'll be making with the script is to replace the
Histogram adjustment with Levels. At present I have two duplicate layers
of the selection so that the histogram can work on the first selection
layer rather than the bottom layer original. But with Levels I can add a
Levels Adjustment Layer instead, which is non-destructive of the original
and allows one to go back and fine tune, just as with the HSL Adjustment
Layer. PSPXI removed the output sliders from Levels, but as XI has the
Color Changer the script wouldn't be used in that program anyway.
The main reason I wanted to script this is for things like colorizing
stuff like black and white photos, so that different pieces of clothing,
etc., could be selected and then all of the steps for colorizing each one
could be run without digging through menus. With the selections in the
Alpha channel and the adjustments on adjustment layers a person should be
able to go back any time to refine the selections or colors once the
whole image is completed. I hope! :-)
Thanks again for your help!
Regards,
JoeB
