Hello Suz

I have a similar question concerning the automated cropping of multiple open
images. I've just run your attached script on some test images and noted the
selection borders appear on the open images which is something similar to what
I'd like automated. I went no further than the initial action of the script
because it looks to be a lot more involved with matters not specific to my own
requirements but it definitely looks as if you might be able to help me, should
you be so inclined. :-)

Here is my dilemma:

I open 200 images to be cropped to my satisfaction before I run a cataloging
script that turns them into the fancy end result I'm after. The catalogue script
is magic but the manual cropping process sucks the marrow from my bones, leaves
me covered in sores and has me reaching for dodgy analogies.

I'm generally using a bogstandard crop (200x299 pixels), no worry about layers
or any other voodoo, and I would like to be able to find a way to have that
200x299 crop box appear on all the open images so I can say goodbye forever to
the `presets-last applied' route for each individual image. I expect to still
have to move the crop box to whereever my desired position is, unless PSP9 has
face recognition mojo I'm unaware of, but just having the crop box appear on
each image will save me much time and no little amount of agony.

I'd appreciate any assistance.

Cheers

Hi Suz

After installing it I ran the script on some test pictures.

1. Wahey! There goes my 200x299 crop box, good so far.
2. I ran the quickscript to apply it to all open documents and it worked like a
dream, crop boxes as far as the eye could see. great so far.
3. I then tabbed all documents so I could quickly cycle through and place the
box of orange goodness where it needed to be. This was very quick to do.
4. I ran your script the second time to actually crop an image then did the
quickscript all open docs circus act again and like magic I was looking at all
my test images cropped to satisfaction in a fraction of the time it would've
taken me to do it manually. Even The Fates smiled then, they'd grown tired of
listening to me curse them.

Your script is exactly what I was looking for, many thanks for making it
available to me. Good wishes upon your House.

Regards
Cropsycho Nomore :-)

One question I forgot to ask - when you say you "ran the quickscript to
apply it to all open documents", do you mean you right-clicked on the script
step in the History palette, and chose "Apply to other open documents"? You
didn't actually save it as a quickscript, did you? Just not clear on what
you did here. All you needed to do was the right-click thing - I'm betting
that's what you did. Suz

Hi Suz

Right you are, I clicked on it in the History palette and ran it that way.

Every single quickscript I have ever created myself gets saved with filenames
like:

deargodplease.PspScript
okthenmaybethistime.PspScript
scriptsarecrap.PspScript
ihavebetterthingstobedoingwithmytime.PspScript
iwanttodie.PspScript

....because I was cursed at birth.

On the other hand (the one with only 3 thumbs) I was given the gift of being
able to track down those who have the knowledge to help me so everything works
out well. :-)

Thanks again
