New Script - Stripper
|
|
| Howard Dickson 2006-05-16, 7:06 pm |
| Folks,
FYI, I've just completed and uploaded a new script, 'Stripper'.
The script gives your images a graphical look by splitting them into
vertical or horizontal strips. User options include Regular and
Staggered edges, Drop Shadow, with a range of 2 to 20 strips. Canvas
colour is determined by current background colour.
Available for PSP8, PSP9 and PSPX.
You can download it free here...

Also a thanks, Howard. Wasn't sure from your post if I'd use it,
but after seeing the way it did the large pots on your site I can
see a use for the art gallery sites I do - and maybe other sites
that want a bit of an "artsy" look to some stuff. That image gave
me some ideas, and your script will make those ideas MUCH easier
to achieve than trying to do them manually!

| Great!
Improvements?
1.- Option to have or not the black border surrounding the individual
pieces.
2.- Option to make variations in the shadow.
3.- Option to have the pieces "floating" without background or having a
texture in the background.

Antonio (and others),
Thanks for your kind comments.
I did consider these points when writing the script, and still not sure
about some of them.
1) IMHO the black surround works best, and stops light areas 'leaking'
into background.
2) The shadow effect is automatically determined by the size of the
image, but could easily be altered 'on the run' by running the script
interactively and adjusting the shadow dialog when it comes up.
3) Might consider floating, and adding background options. You can
always Fill in the background afterwards.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Rgds,
Howard
