Help > Contents > Automating tasks > Editing Scripts In Corel Paint
Shop Pro gives you the basics on invoking an editor. For what to do
with the script once you have it open, get Scripting For Script
Authors at ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/documentation/PSP. While you are
there, you might as well get PSP X Command API if you have any
thoughts about adding your own programming to a recorded script.

Yes and no. PSP works on the basis of complete commands, e.g. a
brush stroke. You can't stop half way through and do something else.
It's easy to stop at a filter dialog so you can tweak settings.

Any old text editor will work. The scripting language is Python (see
python.org) but you can just figure out what things do by looking in
the script. White space is important in how the script is interpreted
so be careful not to change it carelessly.

Thanks for providing the link, Fred. My previous version was from Jasc
PSP9.
The previous one is Revision 6 and is dated September 3, 2004.
I see that the latest one is Revision 7 and dated March 10, 2006.

Does anyone know what has changed (other than the name PSPX :-)?

Ah hah, another clue - the previous one was called "Scripting for Script
Authors.pdf" and sized 1028 kb whereas the new one is called "Scripting
Howto.pdf" and now a slim 489 kb :-(
