Question about scripting 'crop' function

| Morning all...
Does anybody out there know if there is a way to use the crop tool in a
script so that the user can choose the area of the image before the crop
happens.
I'm writing a script that creates a coloured/textured mount round an image
ready for printing. It first resizes the image, then, if necessary, crops
the left & right or the top & bottom of the image to make it the correct
aspect ratio. At the moment, it does this symmetrically, but I'd like the
user to be able to move the crop rectangle before committing to it, just
like you can with the crop tool.
Thanks
BBD

It is not easy and has seen extensive discussion here. Please read
the thread "Script - Crop Tool on Image" beginning on April 8, 2005
and the thread "Cropping Script" beginning on August 31, 2005.
Search for posts containing Crop in their subject lines to get more.
