In a batch process can the file name be retrieved via a script to be used as
text to place on photo ?
I have photos with file names of people that I run a glow script on their
names, but I have to type in each name individually
with each photo.

Yes. Check out the ReturnImageInfo command on page 34 of Scripting
for Script Authors. If you do not have it, get its URL and related
