Author Stacker script - Update
Howard Dickson

2006-02-12, 7:25 pm

Folks,

Some users asked if I could add the option to leave the layers in this
script unmerged. This I have now done, giving you the choice to merge or
leave unmerged, so you can shuffle the layers of the stack about.

Whilst I was at it, I added a further stack style... Pyramid.

I was also asked if I could add a dropshadow. I have tried it with one,
but with various layers at odd angles, I felt it looked a bit messy. You
can always add it manually at the end if you want.

You can download the updated version here...
http://www.sheilsoft.com/psp/stacker.htm

Hope you like.

Rgds,
Howard

Howard, great script! I have a question regarding the script. Is there a
way to keep the EXIF information for the photo being used?

Joel,

As these are layers added to a new 'empty' sheet, which carries no Exif
data, this info isn't taken up by the final composite image. I'm sure
you could read it from the original and append it to the empty keys of
the new sheet, but at the moment, I'm not sure how many users would want
that functionality.

Howard

Thanks Howard. Do you know of a free EXIF editor?

The only freeware exif editor I know of is Exifer. However, it only lets
you add/modify the the Description; Artist; Copyright; Comments, and the
Date taken; Date modified; Date digitized of the photo.

You can find Exifer at:
http://www.exifer.friedemann.info/

Joel,

I just Googled 'exif editor' and a whole pile came up, but as I don't
use one, I can't really recommend anything... sorry. :)
